About Us

Care Careers East is a sister organisation of Care Development East (previously called The Suffolk Brokerage), which has been set up to deliver new and innovative services to the care sector.  Care Careers East brings the independence and high service standards that the sector has come to expect from the Care Development East, but is funded by charges made for its services.

We are a not for profit organisation supporting the social care sector with the recruitment and retention of high quality staff. This means that we can deliver services the sector needs at prices the sector can afford.

Although a new company, our staff have extensive experience of working with the social care sector and understand the needs and requirements of social care businesses, and also individuals who would like to work in social care.

Care Careers East is overseen by a board of directors with experience of working in and / or supporting the sector.

Recruitment Services Manager – Emma WhiteRecruitment Services Manager – Emma White

Emma has extensive experience of working with both social care employers, and those looking to work in the sector, and also has a training and assessing background. Emma oversees the strategic and operational running of Care Careers East and works closely with employers to help fulfil their recruitment needs through the direct recruitment of quality care staff as well as with recruitment support services. Emma also works with potential candidates to ensure they have the right values for working in the sector and match them with employers who have vacant posts.


Administration and Communication Co-ordinator - Hannah McLaughlinAdministration and Communication Co-ordinator - Hannah McLaughlin

Hannah has a strong and varied administrative background, most recently working for a Local Authority in Adult Social Care.  She also graduated in 2017 from Edinburgh Napier University with a Degree in Business and Enterprise.

Hannah assists with the day to day running of Care Careers East, and is the first point of contact for employers and candidates contacting the office.

Direct Recruitment Service – either for a single post, or for a number of posts, and can be a bespoke package or one of our recruitment options.

Recruitment Services – including Recruitment audits, event management, literature services and training around recruitment methods such as social media training.


Careers Service - one to one support to access a range of careers across the adult social care sector, including mental health, elderly and learning disability services.
